50 YEARS AGO — APRIL, 1938 RISING GOLD PRICE ABOUT THE ONLY THING

The latest economic developments are extremely interesting for the Canadian metal-mining industry. Inflation psychology has been injected into business and finance. An increase in commodity prices over the next several months can be expected. Conditions have been ripe for an advance, if a stimulus were to occur, and the big spending/lending campaign gives just that stimulation. Better business conditions should carry through up until the November elections. Reprinted from The Northern Miner, April, 1938.
