Of first importance to Canada are details, announced this week for the first t ime, of Algoma Steel Corp.’s plans for opening the New Helen siderite deposit an d establishing a large-scale beneficiation plant. The plant will treat New Hele n iron ores in the Michipicoten district. 0 5/8While an initial rate of prod uction of 2,000 tons daily — in itself a major operation — is planned, Sir Jam es Dunn, president of Algoma Steel, says he expects the operations to be on a la rger scale later on. *Reprinted from The Northern Miner, August, 1937.
