Stanley Gold Mines, just south of Wawa Lake in the Michipicoten area, had a program of shaft-sinking to open up three new levels nicely under way when The Northern Miner visited the property.
… Drifting on the first level showed the lens to have a length of 135 ft averaging 54 inches in width with the quartz in places up to 12 ft wide. Reprinted from The Northern Miner, January, 1937.
