50 YEARS AGO JULY, 1937 MAJOR OPERATIONS COVER MILES

The Malartic boom in Quebec, long heralded, is now a fact. Essentially a medium-grade, large-tonnage district, Malartic was discovered, on a recent tour, to have three east-west ore breaks that appear to be continuous for more than two miles with indicated extensions in both directions.

Malartic possesses, at the present time, more new activity and more forward promise than any other section of Quebec. Next year will be big both in respect to mine work and community growth. Reprinted from The Northern Miner, July, 1937
