Abacus expands Lookout zone at Niblack

Drilling on the Lookout zone at the Niblack project in southeastern Alaska has intersected up to three massive sulphide horizons over a strike length of 900 ft.

Abacus Minerals (AMC-V) reports that four of seven recent holes intersected significant mineralization. Stepping out to the west, hole 103 intersected 69 ft. at a depth of 297.6-348.6 ft. grading 0.082 oz. gold and 1.31 oz. silver per tonne, plus 1.05% copper and 1.9% zinc (including an 11.7-ft. interval grading 0.23 oz. gold, 4.09 oz. silver, 2.23% copper and 6% zinc).

Hole 105 returned a 2.8-ft. interval at a depth of 530-532.8 ft. grading 1.59 oz. gold, 14.85 oz. silver, 2.01% copper and 6.54% zinc, plus a 61.6-ft.

section between 690.6 and 752.5 ft. grading 0.066 oz. gold, 1.11 oz. silver, 1.29% copper and 0.57% zinc.

The most westerly hole to date, 107, encountered 10 ft. at a depth of 707-717 ft. grading 0.11 oz. gold, 1.57 oz. silver, 2.47% copper and 6.83% zinc, plus a 14.1-ft. interval of 860.4-874.5 ft. grading 0.84 oz. gold, 2.3 oz. silver, 0.88% copper and 1.46% zinc.

Five mineralized horizons were intersected between a depth of 151.7 and 590 metres by hole 106, a further 75 metres downdip of previously reported hole 99.

The horizons included 18 ft. grading 0.35 oz. gold, 4.39 oz. silver, 2.25% copper and 4.77% zinc, plus a 12.3-ft. interval grading 0.15 oz. gold, 2.5 oz. silver, 2.13% copper and 7.15% zinc.

Drilling continues to test the Lookout zone to the west and downdip.
