METHODOLOGY: To produce the most accurate and granular results, Adamas Intelligence analysis is based on retail end-user EV registrations covering more than 110 countries, and over 180 automakers and nearly 3,000 models. The analysis does not include extrapolations of production data, wholesale markets or sales to dealerships. The values represent material tonnage deployed in batteries of newly sold EVs, including plug-in and conventional hybrids, multiplied by the average material price over the period. Materials deployed constitute installed terminal tonnes and do not take into account yield losses during conversion, refining and manufacturing processes or production scrap.
