Adanac doles out $26M for new Ruby Creek facilities

Adanac Molybdenum (AUA-T, AUAYF-O) has contracted Edmonton- based Supreme Steel to carry out construction at its Ruby Creek project.

The order, worth $26 million, includes construction of the power plant, crusher, process and maintenance buildings.

Supreme Steel will build the steel frames, some interior platforms, doors and cladding, which will be produced at the company’s Edmonton and Delta, B. C., shops. Transportation of the products to Ruby Creek is expected to begin in June 2009.

Adanac expects to start site construction in February 2009, with production scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2010.

As of August 2008, equipment and material orders were valued at $137 million.
