Additional funding for Armeno project

Additional funding in the amount of US$1.45 million will be provided by Nissho Iwai Corp. of Japan to go toward the preproduction development costs and working capital of the San Bartolome mine project in Ecuador, Armeno Resources (ME) reported.

The mine, to produce a bulk concentrate containing gold, silver, lead and zinc, belongs to Armenonic Del Ecuador S.A., which is owned on a 50-50 basis by Armeno and Nissho. Manager of the project is Banguetcorp Canada Ltd. A mill startup is scheduled for July.
