AMI samples high grade at Adumasa

AMI Resources (AMU-V) has tabled impressive results from ongoing pitting and trenching at the Adumasa project in Ghana, West Africa.

The program is testing surface mineralization between holes ADDD007 (122 metres grading 1.65 grams gold per tonne) and ADRC027 (40 metres grading 3.62 grams gold per tonne). AMI reports that these two drill holes intersect similar geology and appear to lie on the same mineralized structure. There are 550 metres of strike length between these two holes.

So far, a total of 29 pits were dug, each to a depth of 3 metres. Results from three of these pits identified the highest-grade mineralization discovered to date on the project. A 33.5-metre trench was dug to a depth of 3 metres to connect these three pits.

Trench 100N cut 15.5 metres averaging 12.11 grams gold per tonne. Included in this trench was a 4-metre section that averaged 20.58 grams gold, as well as a 4.5-metre interval of 20.71 grams gold.

AMI plans to kick off a drill program to test mineralization at depth once pitting and trenching have defined the mineralized zone at surface for the entire 550 metres of strike.
