The Fourth Annual Cordilleran Roundup will be held at the Hotel Vancouver over a 3-day period beginning Jan 26, 1987. It will include reviews of field work carried out by provincial and federal agencies along with poster sessions, rock and map displays (core shack), plus various talks. Approximately 1,000 people in the exploration sector are expected to attend so it’s important to register now.
For the first time, the roundup will include an area called the prospector’s tent, where prospectors will be able to show their maps and rock samples. Each will be assigned a specific time to exhibit. There is no charge for participating in the prospector’s tent but a pre-registration fee of $20 is applicable or $25 on Jan 26 which applies to everybody attending the Roundup. Only 100 participants will be accepted for the prospector’s tent.
For information and to register please contact: Jack Patterson, B.C. Yukon Chamber of Mines, 840 West Hastings St., Vancouver, B.C. V6C 1C8 or telephone: (604) 681-5328.
