Aquest abandons Anabella

Disappointing drill results on the Anabella gold-antimony project in Guatemala have led Aquest Minerals to cancel its option agreement.

The junior says the project does not contain enough ounces to justify acquiring the property for US$10 million plus other considerations (capped at US$25 million).

High-grade antimony lenses at Anabella have been mined intermittently since 1969. Aquest initially believed the geological setting at Anabella was similar to Carlin-style, sediment-hosted, bulk-tonnage gold deposits and had set out to test the potential for a multi-million-ounce deposit.
