Armistice strikes gold at Virginiatown project

Diamond drill results from a gold project in Virginiatown, Ont., are being greeted enthusiastically by Armistice Resources (ACI-M).

The program, which is being carried out from a drift at the 2,250-ft.

level, has now been extended 1,000 ft. to a point 2,200 ft. west of the Armistice shaft.

The latest results include: 5.9 ft. grading 0.16 oz. gold per ton and 9.6 ft.

grading 0.164 oz. in hole 22-25; 5.6 ft. of 0.22 oz. in hole 22-29; 2.8 ft.

of 0.34 oz. in hole 22-35; 11.3 ft. of 0.27 oz., 6.2 ft. of 0.11 oz., and 3.1 ft. of 0.15 oz. in hole 22-36; 6 ft. of 0.3 oz., 3 ft. of 0.12 oz., and 3.2 ft. of 0.2 oz. in hole 22-37; as well as 23 ft. of 0.08 oz. and 10.6 ft. of 0.07 oz. in hole 22-39.

Armistice says the mineralized zones show good geological continuity; they have been traced over a strike length of 600 ft. and a vertical distance of 600 ft., and remain open to the west and at depth.

The program is designed to test the extent of mineralized zones within the Kerr formation, the downfaulted extension of the mineralization exposed on surface on the adjacent Kerr Addison mine property. The Kerr formation is characterized by the strong development of green carbonate and pyritic mudstone units containing variable amounts of gold.

Drilling continues on the property.
