Assean Lake yields more gold

Vancouver — The initial results from an ongoing 4,500-metre drill program by International Curator Resources (IC-T) has confirmed the down-plunge continuity of the high-grade gold mineralization on the Assean Lake property near Thompson, Man.

The project is located on the Hunt claims. International Curator is targeting mineralization that was hit during last year’s drill program.

The new discovery was cut by six of the holes over a 500-metre strike length.

Mineralization occurs as silicified zones with pyrite, pyrrhotite, galena arsenopyrite and chalcopyrite in a strong structure associated with an Archean banded iron formation. The latest results include:

• Hole 27 — 8.2 metres grading 9.37 grams gold per tonne from 120 metres down-hole;
• Hole 28 — 2.9 metres grading 7.4 grams gold from 132 metres down-hole;
• Hole 29 — 4 metres grading 0.52 gram gold from 68 metres down-hole;
• Hole 30 — 1.7 metres grading 12.8 grams gold from 130 metres down-hole; and
• Hole 31 — 4.8 metres grading 1.1 grams gold from 125 metres down-hole.

This second round of drilling is slated to consist of 35 holes, with 20 of them aimed at testing the Hunt zone at 50-metre spacings to depths of up to 200 metres.

A second rig is testing geochemical and geophysical targets over the 8-km-long structural zone. The company is budgeting for about 15 holes totalling 1,500 metres.

International Curator can earn a 60% stake in the property from a private company by spending $1.25 million over four years.
