Vancouver — An independent audit has confirmed
Pincock, Allen & Holt verified a measured, indicated and inferred resource of 9.8 million tonnes grading 3.5 grams gold and 189.5 grams silver using a cutoff grade of 3 grams gold per tonne. Dropping to a 2-gram cutoff, the resource comes in at 18.8 million tonnes grading 2.4 grams gold and 139.3 grams silver, whereas, at a 1 gram cutoff, it climbs to 40.8 million tonnes averaging 1.56 grams gold and 89.8 grams silver.
Minefinders is in the midst of a drill program aimed at moving some of the existing resource into the measured and indicated categories, as well as increasing the size of the total resource. Some 70 holes totalling 25,000-30,000 metres are planned for this year’s program, which will use four rigs. So far, 20 holes comprising 8,000 metres have been completed, and results are pending.
