A drilling program has been completed by Augmitto Explorations on the company’s Fourax II gold property in Fournier Twp., Que. The property, which has low grade reserves of 680,000 tons grading 0.11 oz gold per ton, was tested by an 8,200-ft program.
Of 13 sections cut by the program, only four yielded what could be called economic results. These include hole 5, which cut a 2-ft section grading 2.0 oz gold per ton and hole 10 which intersected two sections. The first assayed 0.46 oz across 3.2 ft and the second, 0.17 oz in a 27.8-ft section. Another hole cut 14.9 ft grading 0.15 oz.
The remainder of the holes clustered in the 0.06-0.12 oz range. Bay Resources and Services, which is a joint venture partner on the Fourax II property, paid for the drill program.
On the Parbec property, located 2 km west of the Fourax ground, a 10,000-ft drill program has started. The program is designed to delineate zones of mineralization known to exist on the claims. In the Camp zone, reserves total 100,000 tons grading 0.23 oz gold per ton, Augmitto reports.
