Aurado picks up Mexican ground

Aurado Exploration (AEO-T) has signed a deal with a subsidiary of Cominco (CLT-T) to acquire interests in two properties near the San Nicolas massive sulphide discovery in Zacatecas state, Mexico.

In order to earn a 49% interest

in each of the properties, Aurado must pay Minera Constelacion US$50,000 and spend US$3 million on the properties by March 2001. Constelacion will act as operator, and has the right to earn a back-in interest of 75% by spending $6 million beyond Aurado’s total expenditures.

The properties lie on the western boundary of the San Nicholas property of Western Copper Holdings (WTC-T) and Teck (TEK-T), and may share the same mafic felsic volcanic sequence.
