BASE METALS SPECIAL — Regal acquires Kidd Twp. property

Regal Goldfields (REGL-C) has assumed full ownership of its base metal property in Kidd Twp., Ont., 2.4 km west of the Kidd Creek mine near Timmins.

Previously it held a 50% interest.

The 12-claim property was last explored by Regal in 1994, when it intersected copper-zinc-silver values in one of two diamond drill holes.

Consultanting firm Watts, Griffis & McOuat are compiling information on the property for diamond drilling, to begin in July.

Meanwhile, the company has settled an outstanding legal action, releasing $300,000 of funds held in trust to Regal.
