Black Hawk drills Hoyle prospect

Sixteen holes representing 3,000 metres have been completed at the western end of the Hoyle Twp. gold property of Black Hawk Mining (TSE) in the Timmins, Ont., area.

Drilling was focused along a strike length of 200 metres and to a vertical depth of 150 metres. All zones contained ore-grade values and are open along strike and at depth.

The V-1 zone-South Contact exhibits the greatest continuity and has the most intersections. Intercepts from this zone include 13.4 grams gold per tonne across 3.7 metres, 6.2 grams across 7 metres and 18.6 grams across 4.2 metres. The average width of the zone is 3.1 metres.

The V-2 zone cut values up to 44.1 grams across 5.7 metres.

The V-3 zone intersected values up to 115.8 grams across 1 metre.

Meanwhile, Black Hawk reported a profit of $96,370 on revenue of $4.6 million for 1994, compared with a loss of $518,126 for the previous year.
