Blue Emerald drills gold prospect

Drilling by Blue Emerald Resources (BER-V) is testing the Las Flores zone and other gold targets at the Quebrada de Oro project in northwestern

Nicaragua.

Las Flores, a stratabound zone, has been traced for at least 3 km and remains open. It has never been drilled and is easily accessible from an existing adit.

Last fall, Blue Emerald carried out a sampling program inside the adit.

Several chip samples averaged about 1 oz. gold per ton across a width of 3.28 ft. over a strike length of 25 ft.

The company notes that only narrow widths could be sampled, as many areas of the adit were exposed for less than 4 ft. The Las Flores zone, where sampled in the adit, consists of a quartz vein and veinlets in a graphitic schist that is brecciated in several places.

Blue Emerald’s drill program also is testing a portion of Trend I, on the western side of the property near two adits. Geochemical anomalies identified in this area are believed to reflect stacked systems of veins and veinlets.
