A geochemical sampling program by Blue Emerald Resources (BER-V) has identified two anomalous trends on the Quebrada de Oro project in northern Nicaragua.
The trends are believed to host numerous gold veins and veinlets, and Blue Emerald plans to find them: trenching is under way and drilling is slated to being early next year.
The western anomalous trend has sparse outcrop, however, several gold showings have been identified and sampled. Results range from a high of 37.2 grams gold per tonne to less than 1 gram.
Sampling of the eastern trend (situated 700 metres to the east) has returned gold values of more than 20 grams from an outcrop called La Yuega.
The drill program will test both anomalies, as well as several other newly discovered targets on the concession. Among these is the Las Flores adit area, where chip samples assayed more than 32 grams gold and 120 grams silver across 1 metre, where exposed.
