The latest figures are from holes sunk in the Bay zone and the northern portion of the adjacent Third Portage zone. Gold values vary from 2.32 to 19.94 grams per tonne over core lengths ranging from 1 to 15.8 metres. Some of the better intersections include 5.12 metres grading 19.94 grams in the Bay zone and 10.7 metres grading 7.4 grams in the Third Portage zone.
The results echo those released in early July from holes drilled in the central portion of the Third Portage zone. All are being incorporated into a prefeasibility study.
Prior to the 1999 drill campaign, resources in the Bay zone stood at 735,000 tonnes grading 6.34 grams and at 5.6 million tonnes grading 5.83 grams in the Third Portage zone. Because of their proximity, both zones are being considered as a single open-pit target.
