A second phase of drilling continues to expand the potential of the Busang gold project in East Kalimantan, Indonesia.
In addition, operator Bre-X Minerals (ASE) reports that mapping work has extended the strike length of known mineralization to 7.5 from 5.3 km. Drilling has intersected minable widths of gold mineralization within brecciated porphyrytic andesite over a strike length of 750 metres. The mineralization is associated with sulphides and appears to be amenable to open-pit mining.
The second phase, carried out on a 50-metre grid, is almost complete, and by the end of November, 1 km of strike length will have been drilled off. A resource calculation will follow.
