A five-hole drill program completed by Newmont Exploration on proper ty held by Eider Resources and Golden Briar Mines, has intersected encouraging gold values. The claims are located in Estrees Twp., Que.
The first hole cut a 1.6-ft section grading 0.04 oz gold per ton and 3.9 ft gading 0.03 oz gold — both uneconomic. Another hole intersected 4.7 ft grading 0.21 oz gold per ton. A fourth hole failed to assay any gold.
The property lies south of the Estrades polymetallic deposit in the Casa Berardi camp.
