Camnor cuts anomalous gold in Alaska

Drilling by Camnor Resources (CMB-V) at the Discovery Gulch property in east-central Alaska has returned anomalous gold values.

The 3,000-acre property is at the headwaters of Switch Creek. Camnor stands to earn a 51% interest in the property from Copper Ridge Explorations (KRX-V).

Drill crews collared five reverse-circulation holes totalling 1,520 ft. in a program aimed at testing two target areas.

Four holes — 1, 2, 3 and 5 — tested 600 ft. of strike along the main anomaly, which is associated with a strong gold-arsenic-bismuth soil anomaly with associated bedrock gold mineralization. Drill results indicate anomalous gold values, and Camnor reports that the deposit remains open along strike and downdip.

Generally, assays ranged from 0.15 to 0.7 gram gold per tonne over lengths of 5-40 ft. Hole 5 returned the highest grade: 1.2 grams gold over 20 ft., starting at a down-hole depth of 80 ft.

In addition to the program at Discovery Gulch, the company plans to drill-test the Cirque and Glory Creek projects later this year. Both properties are part of a joint venture with Golden Phoenix Minerals (GPXM-N), in which Camnor can earn up to a 100% interest.
