Exploration has led to the identification of six gold mineralized zones striking across ground held by Can-Mac Exploration, the company says. The property is located in Davis Twp., east of Sudbury, Ont.
Each zone appears to host a number of parallel to sub-parallel quartz veins hosting gold. In the G zone, eight quartz veins have been stripped and trenched. The G-1 vein was stripped for 75 ft and returned an average grade of 0.34 oz gold per ton across 5 ft.
Work on the F zone has also exposed several veins. The F vein strikes for 500 ft and averages 5 ft in width. Grades in this section average 0.32 oz, Can-Mac says. Numerous other veins have been partially tested in the E zone. All the zones and vein systems are within an area 1,000 ft by 700 ft.
Diamond drilling is in progress which will test several veins. Pending positive results and the availability of financing, Can-Mac will consider driving a decline ramp this spring.
