Canchrome releases chromite assays

Two new mineralized zones were identified in the latest drilling program at the Reed-Belanger chromite property near Thetford Mines, Que., Canchrome Mines (ME) reports.

The company recently released the results from the last 17 holes completed during the winter program. A new reserve calculation is expected in the near future.

Assays from the Reed-A zone indicate an average grade of 8.14% Cr2 O3 along 8.9 metres, the company says. And two holes from the Main zone returned an average grade of 14.4% Cr2 O3 along 13.5 metres.

Also, a hole drilled to test the continuity of the chromite mineralization below old trenches returned 22.77% Cr2 O3 along 4.9 metres, Canchrome said.
