Musselwhite Mine is a gold mine in Northwestern Ontario. Musselwhite is a fly-in, fly-out trackless underground operation (scheduled to produce 200,000 ounces per year), staged from the city of Thunder Bay.

Safety Leader

If you are willing to contribute your initiative and commitment, and use your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to be part of a creative and motivated team of outstanding performers, we want to hear from you.

Reporting to the Chief Engineer, you will promote, coordinate and implement activities to improve and maintain a high level of safety performance in all departments at the Musselwhite Mine site. To qualify, you’ll need at least 5 years’ experience in underground and milling operations, as well as a good understanding of the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act, mine resource training, WHMIS and loss control training. Demonstrated success improving and maintaining good safety standards is key, as are excellent communication and organizational skills. Basic computer and presentation skills would be an asset.

The schedule will consist of 10 hour shifts on an 8 days in, 6 days off schedule.
