Controller — Alaska
Kinross seeks a Controller for its Fort Knox Mine located in Fairbanks, Alaska. Primary responsibilities include the direction of day to day and long-range efforts of the Fort Knox Mine Accounting, Procurement, Warehousing and Systems Administration groups. The Controller will be required to support the development of financial budgets and forecasts. He/she must possess a broad range of management and financial experience and be committed to the use of an effective continuous improvement program. A B.S. degree in Accounting or equivalent is required. CPA or similar certification is desired but not necessary. A minimum of ten years of accounting experience is required with exposure to materials management, warehousing and procurement.

Current Products Manager
We’re looking for a dynamic individual to provide leadership for the ongoing enhancement and maintenance of our successful product, Gemcom for Windows. You’ll manage a team of software developers, testers and technical support staff and will be based in our Vancouver office. You’ll be responsible for the development of the product, the quality control and satisfaction of our customers as they suggest improvements and report problems with the software. To help with your job, we have implemented a state of the art customer management system that tracks all contact with our customers.
To excel in this position, you must have excellent leadership, management and communication skills as well as a sound technical knowledge of the Gemcom geological modeling and mine planning software system.
You should have the following credentials:
- prior experience with Gemcom software
- a sound knowledge of the software development process
- patience and experience in handling customer support
- an understanding of the geological and mining software market
- a willingness to travel
- the ability to lead and manage a group of 8-12 people
