Caribgold options claims

An agreement with Beaufield Consolidated Resources (BFD-V) sets the stage for CaribGold Resources (CG-T) to acquire a 50% interest in 400 claims in the Lac Evans area of northwestern Quebec.

The properties cover a belt of geochemical and geophysical anomalies believed to be prospective for base metal and precious metal mineralization. The area has attracted attention following the discovery of high-grade copper-nickel mineralization 40 km south of Lac Evans.

Caribgold already owns 100% of 368 claims in the region, whereas Beaufield holds 100% of another 134 claims nearby. Both companies acquired the claims on the basis of the prospective geology, which government geologists rated as one of the best base metal targets in Quebec.

CaribGold will operate an exploration program on the claims optioned from Beaufield, as well as on its own nearby ground. Base metal experts will be hired to manage the program, which will begin with prospecting and geochemical sampling.
