Ceremonial at Dona Lake gold mine photo plus

Ontario premier and acting minister of northern development and mines David Peterson (right), helps put up a sign marking the site of the production shaft that will be put down at the new Dona Lake gold mine of Dome Mines and Campbell Red Lake Mines in the Pickle Lake region of the province. The mine, which will come into production by the first quarter of 1989, (N.M., June 29/87), will turn out 40,000 oz gold per year. With Mr Peterson are (from the left), Osnaburgh Indian band chief Roy Kaminawaish, Pickle Lake Reeve James Delzel, and C. Henry Brehaut, president of Dome Mines.
