Clive Brown named Belmoral president

R. C. Brown, a company director and former president of Belmoral, has been named president, replacing Kenneth Dalton who took over the post at the end of June, 1989. Dalton, who replaced Steven Harapiak as president, remains as chairman and chief executive officer.

Clive Brown and his brother Frank, who also serves on the board of directors, together control the largest shareholding in Belmoral.

Appointed vice-president of exploration was Peter Ferderber, after whom one of Belmoral’s two mines at Val d’Or, Que., was named. Ferderber is also a company director.

Belmoral is striving to lower its operating costs at its Val d’Or mining operations. In 1988, the company produced almost 45,200 oz gold.
