COATS Trading Features (December 01, 1986)

Regal Goldfields Ltd. came back to life after rescinding a cease trade order. The issue opened up at 45 cents -55 cents . Regal holds a major interest in a company which is planning to carry out exploration on a gold prospect near Matachewan, Ont.

Mirado Nickel Mines gave up some ground, closing at 47 cents -50 cents . At presstime, Golden Shield Resources, said that reserves at the Mirado project near Kirkland Lake, Ont., have been increased to 496,509 tons grading 0.33 oz gold per ton. Mirado holds a royalty on the property which is owned by Golden Shield. The latter company plans to place the Mirado project into production in 1987.

Comstock Keno Mines continued to firm up, adding a couple of cents to 35 cents -37 cents . Chance Mining and Exploration was also stronger, trading at 40 cents -50 cents ; up a nickel on the week. Chance holds several claims west of Kidd Creek Mines’ large base metals operation north of Timmins, Ont. Kidd holds an option on the Chance ground.

Issues which have left the COATS system for the big board include Northfield Minerals and Holmer Gold Mines, both of which are now on the Alberta Stock Exchange.
