The Edwards claims adjoin the Cline mine property held under option by Esso Minerals. A $700,000 exploration program has been recommended

** for the property. **

Brown-McDade Resources, which is getting out of the mining business, showed

** some activity as it traded to 53 cents before closing at 38 cents -43 cents . The ** company has been taken over by a new group which is involved with cable ** television technology. Consolidated Marcus Gold Mines, control of which ** ** passed to a private investor, gave up some ground to 18 cents -23 cents . The **

** company was sold as a shell by Wilanour Resources for $40,000. **

Golden Hope Mines has completed a $1 million flow-through share offering. The cash will fund exploration at the company’s massive sulphide property in southern Quebec. Drilling has cut low grading gold mineralization ranging

** from 0.02-0.05 oz gold per ton. **

** Other stronger issues included Yellorex Mines which traded at **

13 cents -18 cents . Minefinders Corp., which is having success drilling a gold **

** property in Quebec, moved up to $1-$1.25 on small volume. **
