COATS Trading Features (June 01, 1987)

Card Lake Resources continued to perform on the coats system, trading to a new high of $2.30. News from the company’s gold play in the Harker-Holloway area east of Matheson, Ont., continues to be good. Completion of an old drill hole which was started last year, has intersected a gold mineralized zone from 499 ft-533 ft. The section assayed 0.162 oz gold per ton across 34.3 ft.

Hardrock Extension was steady at $1.10. The company is busy with two other affiliates in the Geraldton, Ont., area. Hardrock, Geraldton Longlac Gold and Ferau Resources, have raised a total of $3 million which will fund ongoing exploration programs. The cash came from the exercising of warrants. A 45,000-ft drill prorgam has been recommended with drilling starting in less than two weeks, Hardrock says.

Some life returned to Frankfield Explorations which traded at 13 cents -16 cents . The company has a 36% interest an a gold prospect in Tully Twp., Ont., and in a silver property near Cobalt, Ont. Band-Ore Gold Mines also perked up to 30 cents -35 cents . Noranda Inc. holds a 75% stake in Band-Ore’s gold deposit near Shebandowan, Ont. Easier issues included Chance Mining & Exploration which dipped to 45 cents -55 cents and Langis Silver & Cobalt Mining, which closed at $1.35-$1.40.
