Edda Resources was one of the few gainers in the holiday-shortened trading week. The issue added 3 cents to 45 cents . Edda is still working on getting listed on the Alberta Stock Exchange. Goldteck Mines was also marginally better, adding a nickel to $1.35. The company is exploring a gold prospect west of Matachewan, Ont.
Spirit Lake Explorations, which was recently reactivated, lost 20 cents to $1.90 in quiet trading. The company picked up the old Edwards property near Goudreau, Ont. Limited underground work was completed by previous operators on a gold showing.
Canper Resources continued at 40 cents -50 cents . The company has acquired a 14-claim property in Hoyle Twp., east of Timmins, Ont. The claims are north of the Syngold discovery announced two weeks ago. Canper also released results from drilling on the company’s Katrine gold property near Kirkland Lake. Drilling cut several narrow sections averaging 2 ft and 0.26 oz gold per ton.
