Exploration work by Goldteck Mines on a gold prospect near Matachewan, Ont., is helping move the issue to the $1.85-$1.90 range. A trade at $2 was recorded during the week. Real Goldfields, which owns a large stake in Goldteck, was also better at 50 cents -55 cents .
Boston Bay Mines gave up some ground to $2.75-$3.25. The company has a stake in the Lac des Iles platinum group metals deposit north of Thunder Bay, Ont. Operator, Madeleine Mines is still working on getting a deal to finance the project to production. Belleterre Quebec Mines, which has a 39% stake in Boston Bay, was also easier at 53 cents -58 cents .
Wabigoon Resources was slightly better at 65 cents -75 cents . The company is busy with the old Hunter mine property east of Timmins, Ont. Chance Mining & Exploration traded at 35 cents and was quoted at 30 cents -40 cents at the close. The company maintains several claims west of the big Kidd Creek mine north of Timmins.
Other better issue include Cleyo Resources at $2.50-$2.60. Cleyo operates several exploration projects in Ontario.
