Correction (November 24, 2003)

In our Oct. 17 issue, we incorrectly stated that Canico Resource (CNI-T) would carry out matte smelting at its Ona-Puma nickel-laterite project in Brazil.

Canico is considering both ferronickel and matte smelting, with the former currently the preferred option, as it offers the best financial returns and no smelter charges.

A full feasibility study will be completed in late 2004.
