Though all three failed to intersect significant mineralization, holes 65 and 66 did intersect multi-textured pyrite mineralization and minor sphalerite and chalcopyrite in felsic volcanics. Both were drilled to satisfy work requirements and were collared over coincident induced-polarization and zinc-in-soil anomalies. The remaining hole actually deepened an existing hole so as to allow for deeper down-hole geophysical surveying.
Cross Lake notes that its latest drilling shows sulphide mineralization in the targeted exhalative horizon increasing with depth. Similarly, the host felsic volcanics thicken and become more altered.
The company is planning its next phase of drilling. Holes will be collared to test the down-plunge extension of high-grade zinc-silver mineralization intersected thus far.
