Cryderman Gold is planning an exploration program on its Geraldton, Ont., area property which includes the former producing Sand River gold mine. The program will concentrate on an area 8,500 ft west of the Sand River workings where a surface showing, known as the Creek vein, will be examined.
Discovered in the 1930s, the Creek vein has been mapped for 700 ft along strike and has been tested by drilling to a depth of 160 ft. Drilled sections ranged up to 0.3 oz gold per ton across 11 ft, Cryderman says.
As a large part of the area between the workings and the Creek vein are covered by overburden, Cryderman plans to explore the area using geophysical and geochemical surveys.
