Currie Rose Resources (CUI-V) will continue drilling along strike to both the north and south of its Mwamazengo prospect in Tanzania.
The company recently finished a 1,100-metre drill program on its Mabale Hills project, where the Mwamazenco prospect is located. Currie Rose drilled a total of 10 holes with both a reverse circulation drill and a diamond drill.
The project is part of the Lake Victoria joint venture with Sub-Sahara Resources (SBS-A).
Currie Rose has a 40% stake in the project with the option to earn up to 70% by completing a feasibility study.
Highlights from the latest drilling include a 5-metre intersection grading 2.25 grams gold per tonne, 22 metres grading 2.03 grams, 13 metres grading 3.22 grams and 3 metres grading 29.34 grams gold per tonne.
The companys share price dropped more than 13% in Toronto today, or 7, to 45 apiece on a trading volume of 155,000 shares.
Up next is an IP/resistivity ground geophysics program to help better define targets for the next drill program.
