Cusac Gold drilling returns gold values

Underground drilling on the Michelle Highgrade area at the Table Mountain mine in north-central British Columbia is confirming gold values for Cusac Gold Mines (TSE).

The company has completed a decline to the zone and is now working to block out reserves to feed its idle, 300-ton-per-day, gravity-flotation mill.

The company is now drifting on the Michelle Highgrade zone on two levels in an attempt to block out the first panel of about 5,000 tons for mining.

The best intersection from underground drilling included a 35-ft. interval grading 0.8 oz. gold per ton. The estimated true width of the intersection is 24 ft.

Cusac sees potential for expanding the zone on strike and discovering parallel zones. The strike length of the zone appears to be at least 250 ft.

Getting a handle on the vertical extent of the zone is proving difficult, however, as the structure is complicated and badly faulted. As a result, additional drilling will be required for definition purposes.
