The property is in the Table Mountain gold camp, about nine miles southeast of Cassiar, B.C.
Vancouver-based Cusac holds a 30% net profits interest in the 59- claim property which is surrounded by a large block of ground controlled by Total Energold.
Cusac reports that samples from an 88-ft-long surface trench along the Bain quartz vein have yielded assays of 1.7 oz gold per ton over an average width of 4.6 ft.
Four shallow diamond drill holes completed over a strike length of 492 ft have also yielded high grade values. Preliminary results, to a depth of 66 ft, include 9.11 oz over 6.2 ft, 0.20 oz over 5.2 ft and 0.13 oz over a width of 13 ft.
The company said that based on these initial drill results, the Bain gold vein grades 2.1 oz gold over an average width of 7 ft. That figure correlates well with surface trench sample assays, Cusac said.
Drilling is continuing in two directions along strike to establish the extent of the vein structure. According to Cusac, the mineralization and style of the new vein are similar to most of the other gold-bearing veins on the property.
