Together, Vancouver-based Ashton Mining of Canada (TSE) and Quebec Crown company Soquem will explore for diamonds in Quebec.
The two firms have signed a joint-venture agreement regarding 185,000 sq. km of land prospective for diamonds in northern Quebec. The first-year budget for the exploration program will be $540,000.
Ashton and Soquem will share interest in the project equally, with Ashton managing the exploration work.
