Ashton Mining of Canada (ACA-T) can earn a 51% interest in the JC claim block in the Northwest Territories.
Ownership of the JC block, 120 km north of Lac de Gras, is split equally between Lytton Minerals (LTL-T) and Pure Gold Resources (PUG-T).
Ashton must keep the claims in good standing until next summer and spend $650,000 on exploration by the end of 1997.
Until Oct. 26, Lytton and Pure Gold also have the right to select up to 10 claims that will be included in the agreement for the purposes of diamond exploration.
