Junior diamond miner Trivalence Mining (tmi-v) of Vancouver, B.C., has reported new production figures from its 1,000-sq.-km Aredor concession in Guinea, West Africa.
In April, Trivalence processed 31,709 tonnes at Aredor, yielding 1,858 stones with an aggregate weight of 2,225 carats and an average stone size of 1.19 carats. The tailings plant processed 16,940 tonnes and recovered 178 stones with an aggregate weight of 143 carats and an average stone size of 0.8 carat.
April production shows a whopping 216% increase over March.
Trivalence has moved a parcel containing 3,600 carats to Conakry for its next scheduled sale, later this month.
The company also reports that a 5-tonne sample from the largest-known kimberlite at Aredor, K-7, is in transit and scheduled to arrive in Canada for analysis in early June.
