DIAMOND PAGE — Gope to be bulk sampled

De Beers Consolidated Mines (DBRS-Q) is about to begin a mini-bulk-sampling program at the Gope diamond prospect in Botswana, held by Toronto-based partner TNK Resources (TNKR-C).

The program is focused on testing five kimberlites. This summer, De Beers carried out a soil-sampling program. The diamond giant now plans to collect bulk samples to obtain diamond grade and other information on the nature of the kimberlites.

De Beers has informed TNK that it plans to carry out more soil sampling on untested geophysical anomalies. This work is aimed at identifying additional drilling targets. Samples will be sent to De Beers’ testing facility in Lobatse.
