An independent report indicates that diamonds found at the Kade concession in Ghana are of better quality than most found in that country, says property owner Nora Explorations (NXI-M).
Only 10% of the diamonds found on the concession are of low, or industrial, quality, compared with 30-40% in the rest of the country. More than 18% exceed 0.5 carat, compared with about 1% in the rest of the diamond-rich Birim Valley.
Consulting firm Placer Analysis also reports that Kade contains a high frequency of well-formed octahedral and dodecahedral crystals with good color and few inclusions.
