The search for base metals in Labrador has returned some unexpected results for Westpine Metals (WM-V).
An airborne geophysical survey completed in 1995 on the Minipi Lake claim blocks has revealed nine possible diatreme or kimberlite targets.
Westpine holds a 75% interest in four blocks comprising 384 claims, while Lakefield Minerals (LKFD-C) holds the remaining 25%.
Additional exploration work on the property is planned.
