Dome Exploration has started drilling on Melrose Resources’ Blackstock Twp. property 30 miles southeast of Timmins.
To date about 14,000 ft of drilling has been completed in 17 holes to test magnetic and IP geophysical targets as well as geological targets in an area of extensive overburden.
Scattered, low-grade gold values with local concentrations have been intersected in intensely altered, pyritized portions of an irregularly shaped, monzonite intrusive.
Dome has spent $542,000 to date. Under terms of the option, Dome can earn a 60% working interest by spending $1 million on the property before July 1, 1991. Plans for the immediate future are to complete at least five more drill holes in the current program.
