Assay results appear to be confirming the high hopes that Westmin Resources (TSE) has for the Wolverine discovery in southeastern Yukon.
A previously reported 4.1-metre intersection of high-grade massive sulphides from hole 95-21, drilled on the most westerly defined extension of the discovery, has assayed 12.45% zinc, 0.85% copper and 2.63% lead, as well as 882.7 grams silver and 3.7 grams gold per tonne, over a true length of 3.7 metres.
The deposit exists within the Foot property and, to date, has been defined over a strike length of 250 metres and a dip length of 400 metres.
Westmin is earning a 60% interest from Atna Resources (VSE).
Hole 95-21, drilled from section 16+600E, extended the downdip of the Wolverine zone by a distance of 80 metres from hole 95-20.
Drilling has wrapped up for the season, with assay results pending for two remaining holes, 95-23 and 24.
